Modern White Mantel For a Newlywed Home
What do you do when you find the perfect neighborhood, but the house doesn’t quite meet your needs? For newlyweds Sarah and Sloan, the answer was clear: renovation.
We were honored to be part of the home makeover for Sarah and Sloan, brought to life as shared on HGTV Married To Real Estate with Egypt Sherrod. Our DreamCast BOWEN mantel was selected to be the focal point of the living room, the heart of the home where the couple relax and spend quality time together.

A long wishlist for both
Eager to build a home that reflected their lifestyle, Sarah and Sloan set out to transform their new house into a personalized space designed for both comfort and entertaining. Their wishlist included a spacious kitchen for Sloan—an avid home cook—a generous walk-in closet for Sarah, and an inviting backyard complete with a pool for weekend gatherings. When they couldn’t find a move-in-ready home that checked every box, they chose to renovate a property in a great location to create the dream space they envisioned.

The original layout already had an open-concept flow between the kitchen and living room, but the kitchen’s cramped cooking area limited functionality. With the help of a talented design and build team, they reimagined the space—expanding the kitchen and enhancing the heart of the home: the living room.

Cozy up the living room
One of the most impactful upgrades was replacing the traditional fireplace mantel with a sleek, modern alternative. Sloan, who favors clean, industrial design, was drawn to the minimalist profile of the DreamCast BOWEN mantel. Its crisp white finish and contemporary lines perfectly complemented the new aesthetic of the home, offering a sophisticated focal point without overwhelming the space.
